This Decision is to promulgate the new List of scraps allowed to be imported to be used as production materials.
The new List includes 6 types of scrap, including: 1. Scrap iron/steel; 2. Scrap plastic; 3. Scrap paper; 4. Scrap glass; 5. Scrap non-ferrous metal; 6. Slag
In comparison with the old List issued together with Decision No. 73/2014/QD-TTg , the following scraps are removed:
1. Gypsum (HS code 2520.10.00)
2. Chemical elements doped for use in electronics, in the form of discs, wafers, or similar forms (3818.00.00)
3. Waste silk (including cocoons unsuitable for reeling, yarn fiber scrap and garnetted stock) (5003.00.00)
4. Tungsten (wolfram) waste and scrap (8101.97.00)
5. Molypdenum waste and scrap (8102.97.00)
6. Magnesium waste and scrap (8104.20.00)
7. Titanium waste and scrap (8108.30.00)
8. Zirconium waste and scrap (8109.30.00)
9. Antimony waste and scrap (8110.20.00)
10. Chrome waste and scrap (8112.22.00)
However, according to the transitional provision at this Decision, if the aforesaid scraps have been granted the Certificates of eligibility for environment protection, they shall be further imported within the validity duration of the Certificates.
This Decision takes effect from November 15th, 2020 and replaces Decision No. 73/2014/QD-TTg dated December 19th, 2014.
