This Official letter instructs enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City to make adjustments to minimum wages paid to employees from July 1st, 2022 under Decree No. 38/2022/ND-CP .

Accordingly, the minimum monthly wage levels applicable from July 1st, 2022 are VND 4,680,000/month (Region I); 4,160,000/ month (Region II); 3,640,000/ month (Region III); 3,250,000/ month (Region IV).

In case wages are paid on a hourly basis, the minimum wage levels applicable from July 1st, 2022 shall be as follows: VND 22,500/hour (Region I); VND 20,000/hour (Region II); VND 17,500/hour (Region III) and 15,600/hour (Region IV).

Notably, when increasing minimum wages for employees, enterprises are not allowed to cut or reduce other regimes under regulations of laws. With regard to allowances, subsidies, bonuses defined by enterprises, they shall be implemented as agreed in labor contracts, labor agreements or internal regulations.

After reaching agreements on adjustments to minimum wages with trade unions, enterprises must publicly disclose and, together with employees, adjust wages in the labor contracts to be suitable.
