Official letter No. 7957/BCT-KHCN dated December 12th, 2022 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding import of used machinery, equipment according to Article 9 of Decision No. 18/2019/QD-TTG dated April 19th, 2019 of the Prime Minister

The Ministry of Industry and Trade notes that according to the regulations at Article 10 of Decision No. 18/2019/QD-TTg , the Certificate of inspection of used machinery, equipment must include contents about inspection method and process in order to be accepted.

In addition, the application for import of used machinery must clearly explain the necessity to import the used machinery; evaluate in details the consistency in terms of technology, technique of each machine with that operating at the Company and include contents to compare technical features, standards and prices of the used machines with the new ones of the same type

Regarding remaining usage duration of machinery requested for import, it is required to ensure the conformity with operating duration of the project to avoid the import of machinery of which remaining usage duration is too short, leading to the situation of requiring the import of other used machinery for replacement before the expiration of the project’s operation duration.
