Decree No. 78/2021/ND-CP dated August 1st, 2021 of the Government on establishment and management of the Disaster Management Fund

This Decree provides for new regulations on establishment of, contributions to and use of the Disaster Management Fund.

Accordingly, the Disaster Management Fund includes the Central Disaster Management Fund and provincial disaster management funds. Under the earlier regulations, there were provincial disaster management funds.

Every year, enterprises still have to make contributions to provincial disaster management funds at the rate of 0.02% of total value of existing assets, VND 500,000 at minimum and VND 100 million at maximum.

With regard to employees, they shall pay a half of salary of a working day instead of salary of 01 working day under the earlier regulations.

This Decree takes effect from September 15th, 2021. To replace Decree No. 94/2014/ND-CP dated October 17th, 2014 and Decree No. 83/2019/ND-CP dated November 12th, 2019.
