Official letter No. 710/TCHQ-GSQL dated March 3rd, 2022 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs regarding development of the inspection, supervision of lease of warehouses outside exporting processing enterprises (EPEs)

The General Department of Vietnam Customs assumes that with regard to a warehouse leased to an EPE, the warehouse owner is not allowed to lease such warehouse to another enterprise because it fails to meet the conditions for customs supervision and inspection according to the regulations at Article 80 of Circular No. 38/2015/TT-BTC .

In addition, the General Department of Vietnam also notes that the warehouse owner and the EPE leasing the warehouse are responsible to ensure the conditions for the leased warehouse which must have defined geographical boundaries, sturdy surround fences that separate the warehouse from the outside, surveillance camera system to meet conditions for goods received to, dispatched from the warehouse.
