blue-check Regarding application of foreign standards to construction works in Vietnam

According to opinions of the Ministry of Construction, construction works in Vietnam may apply the fire prevention and fighting design according to a foreign standard if such standard contains regulations equivalent to or higher than the National Technical Regulation QCVN 06:2021/BXD on Fire Safety of Buildings and Constructions.

If the foreign standard has regulations lower than those specified in Vietnam’s standard, it is required to apply according to the standard of Vietnam.

In addition, in case of applying the foreign standard, the investor has to evaluate the compatibility, synchronization and the compliance with Vietnam’s standard in the course of making construction design notes according to regulations at Decree 15/2021/ND-CP.
