Dispatch No. 5378/BYT-KHTC dated July 7th, 2021 of the Ministry of Health regarding guidelines for payment of Covid-19 testing costs

With regard to rapid testing, for the period before July 1st, 2021, apply the price of VND 238,000 according to guidelines at Official Dispatch No. 4068/BYT-KHTC dated July 30th, 2020. For those who do not health insurance card, apply the price approved by the competent authority but no more than VND 238,000 (Official Dispatch No. 5834/BYT-KHTC dated October 27th, 2020).

For the period from July 1st, 2021, the health insurance fund pays for testing costs based on health insurance benefit rate of each patient and purchase price of the tests determined by bidding. With regard to costs of consumables, power and water and remuneration, the state budget shall pay according to regulations on funding for Covid-19 prevention and control

With regard to Covid-19 antigen testing by immunoassay analyzers, in case samples need to be collected and preserved in a manner similar to how samples for Real-time PCR tests are collected and preserved, temporarily apply a price of VND 100,000/sample.

For Realtime RT-PCR Covid-19 testing by nasopharyngeal samples: continue to apply the guidelines in Official Dispatch No. 4356/BYT-KH-TC dated May 28th, 2021.
