The Ministry of Finance has just provided for new guidelines for case definition of COVID-19 and medical measures for COVID-19 cases and close contacts (F1).
According to the new definition, Covid-19 confirmed person is one of the following cases:
(i) A person who has tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by Real-time RT-PCR method;
(ii) A person who has a positive SARS-CoV-2 antigen-detecting rapid diagnostic test (Ag-RDT);
(iii) A person who meets epidemiological criteria and has a positive SARS-CoV-2 Ag-RDT.
Suspected case is one of the following cases:
(i) A person who meets epidemiological criteria and has signs or symptoms;
(ii) A person who has a positive SARS-CoV-2 Ag-RDT;
(iii) A person who suffers from severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) or severe viral pneumonia (SVP) and requires hospitalization.
With regard to F1 case, the Ministry of Health removed the requirement of quarantine at home (5 – 7 days) and F1 case just has to monitor health and avoid crowds.
