Decree No. 137/2021/NĐ-CP dated December 31st, 2021 of the Government on administrative penalties in betting and prize-winning game operations

This Decree promulgates new fine levels imposed on administrative violations in betting and prize-winning game operations, applicable from January 1st, 2022.

Accordingly, some violations shall be subject to fine from January 1st, 2022, including:

- A fine ranging from 40.000.000 VND to 60.000.000 VND is imposed on erasing or modifying documents in the application for issuance, re-issuance, revisions, extension of Certificate of eligibility for betting operation.

- A fine ranging from 80.000.000 VND to 100.000.000 VND is imposed on producing, verifying fabricated documents or containing incorrect information or concealing the truth in application for issuance, re-issuance, revision, extension of Certificate of eligibility for betting operation

- A fine ranging from 180.000.000 VND to 200.000.000 VND is imposed on engaging in betting operation during suspension or revocation of the Certificate of eligibility for betting operation

In addition, fines imposed on many violations shall be also increased from January 1st, 2022.

This Decree takes effect from January 1st, 2022.

To abrogate Chapter VII of Decree No. 06/2017/ND-CP dated January 24th, 2017; Chapter VII of Decree No. 03/2017/ND-CP dated January 16th, 2017; Chapter VII Decree No. 86/2013/ND-CP dated July 29th, 2013; Clause 13, Clause 14 and Clause 15 Article 1 of Decree No. 175/2016/ND-CP dated December 30th, 2016.
