This Plan is aimed at reopening international tourism activities after deploying the pilot to welcome international visitors to Vietnam

Accordingly, from March 15th, 2022 domestic and international tourism activities are fully reopened, including air, land, rail, and sea routes.

International tourist may visit Vietnam; Vietnamese people may travel abroad or in the country.

Visa policy shall apply according to Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP dated on March 15th, 2022 on visa exemption for citizens of the 13 countries specified at the Resolution up to 15 days.

International visitors to Vietnam are required to have a negative SARS-CoV-2 test result using RT-PCR/RT-LAMP method within 72 hours before entry into Vietnam, except children under 2 years old. However, international visitors must have medical or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum liability of USD 10,000. They shall self-monitor health during the first 10 days from the date of entry (without having to undergo quarantine).
