Decision No. 13/2023/QD-TTg dated May 22nd, 2023 of the Prime Minister on promulgation of List of scrap allowable to be imported from foreign countries as production materials

This Decision is to promulgate the List of scrap allowable to be imported from foreign countries as production materials from June 1st, 2023.

Accordingly, this new List includes 5 groups of scrap as follows: Scrap iron, steel, cast; Waste and parings of plastics; Waste of paper; Waste of glass; Waste of non-ferrous metal.

In comparison with the old List, the new one is supplemented scrap allowable to be imported from foreign countries as production materials that are sawdust, filings (included in the group of scrap iron, steel, cast).

However, it is no longer allowable to import glass from cathode ray tubes or other activated glass of Heading 85.49; other waste of glass of Heading: 4707.90.00.

With regard to the import of granulated slag (slag sand) from the manufacture of iron or steel (2618.00.00) as materials for manufacture of cement, from June 1st, 2023, it shall be carried out according to regulations of laws on products, goods of building materials.

This Decision takes effect from June 1st, 2023 and replaces Decision No. 28/2020/QD-TTg dated September 24th, 2020.
