According to the EU’s notification (Official letter No. 5575/TCHQ-GSQLstatus2 dated August 21st, 2020), now the EU only applies the mechanism of self-certification of origin under the REX system rather than applying C/O.

Accordingly, Vietnam shall only give preferences to shipments originating in the EU based on self-certified proofs of origin issued by exporters that have registered REX number or by any exporter that certified for a shipment of a value not exceeding 6,000 euros.
