This Resolution officially allows extending the storage period in Vietnam with regard to duty-free goods, and goods sent to bonded warehouses arisen in the context of Covid-19

Accordingly, goods stored at duty-free shops, warehouses of enterprises selling duty-free goods, and goods sent to bonded warehouses, of which the storage period starts from April 1, 2020 shall continue to be retained till no more than 12 months after the date of announcement of the termination of the epidemic.

However, with regard to goods sent to bonded warehouses of which the storage period is extended, upon the export, they must be exported via international or main border gates.

This Resolution takes effect from the date of its signing.
