Thanks to the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world and Vietnam, the Prime Minister decided to stop the requirement for COVID-19 testing before entering Vietnam from 00:00 of May 15, 2022.

Previously, from the date after March 15, 2022 people entering Vietnam shall be exempt from centralized quarantine (Official letter No. 1265/BYT-DP dated March 15, 2022 of the Ministry of Health). However, at that time, the Ministry of Health still requested visitors to present negative test results for SARS-CoV-2 with RT-PCR /RT-LAMP within 72 hour or with antigen rapid test within 24 hours.

After April 27, 2022, the Ministry of Health also removed the requirement for medical declaration for people entering Vietnam (Official letter No. 2118/BYT-DP dated April 26th, 2022).
