From June 1st, 2021: It is allowable using electronic health insurance card on the VssID for medical examination and treatment
Recognizing the convenience of the VssID application after a pilot period, the VSS requests medical facilities nationwide to deploy the use health insurance cards on the VssID application instead of using the paper ones from June 1st, 2021.
According to the VSS’ opinions, the use of electronic health insurance cards brings convenience to health insurance participants and still ensures information confidentiality and safety of users and limits the abuse and exploitation of health insurance funds.
