Decree No. 139/2021/ND-CP dated December 31st, 2021 of the Government on administrative penalties for inland waterway navigation violations

This Decree provides for new fine levels imposed on administrative violations in inland waterway navigation, applicable from January 1st, 2022.

Accordingly, fines imposed on some violations shall be increased from January 1st, 2022, such as:

- A fine ranging from 65.000.000 VND to 75.000.000 VND shall be imposed for operation and use of vessels exceeding the prescribed use life, regardless of type of vehicle.;

- A fine ranging from VND 5.000.000 to VND 10.000.000 shall be imposed for assigning people who have no professional certificates to operate vessels;

- A fine ranging from VND 1.000.000 to VND 2.000.000 shall be imposed for failing to bring the inland waterway vessel registration certificate;

This Decree takes effect from January 1st, 2022 and replaces Decree No. 132/2015/ND-CP dated December 25th, 2015.
