According to opinions of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, now some countries are applying policies on import and export prohibition, import and export suspension, even removal of the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) principle with regard to goods originated in Russia due to Russia-Ukraine war.

As the result, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recommends Vietnam’s enterprises to carefully consider and take risk prevention measures in payment when they import raw materials from Russia to manufacture goods for export to countries that are imposing sanctioning measures on Russia, especially some materials such as flat-rolled steel, material timber, frozen fishes, materials manufacturing fertilizers, potassium, wheat, alloy and non-alloy aluminium.
