Decree No. 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31st, 2021 of the Government on administrative penalties for violations against regulations on social safety, security, order; social evils, fire prevention and firefighting; rescue; domestic violence prevention and control

From January 1st, 2022, fines on some violations against regulations on social safety, security, order shall be increased, to be specific:

- Taunting, teasing, insulting, humiliating another person: A fine ranging from 2,000,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND (the old level was 100,000 – 300,000 VND);

- Providing false information for a competent authority or organization: A fine ranging from 2,000,000 VND to 3,000,000 VND (the old level was 100,000 – 1000,000 VND);

- Deliberately inflicting injuries or bodily harm to another person but not liable to criminal prosecution: A fine ranging from 5,000,000 VND to 8,000,000 VND (the old level was 2,000,000 – 3,000,000 VND)

- Molestation, sexual harassment: A fine ranging from 5,000,000 VND to 8,000,000 VND

This Decree takes effect from January 1st, 2022 and replaces Decree No. 167/2013/ND-CP dated November 12th, 2013.
