Official letter No. 8818/SYT-NVY dated November 25th, 2021 of the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh city regarding organization of testing in labor-employing establishments

From November 25th, 2021, business establishments, service providers, supermarkets, shopping malls, etc. in Ho Chi Minh city shall organize SARS-CoV-2 testing for their workers according to the new guidelines of the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh city as follows:

- Conduct testing if there are symptoms of Covid-19 infection or epidemiological factors;

- Conduct testing for 100% employees when they return to work (by rapid aggregate testing of 3-5 people or by RT-PCR aggregate testing of 10-20 people);

- Conduct random testing periodically with regard to employees with high risk of infection of Covid-19 depending on pandemic-risk levels of Ho Chi Minh city, at least 20% of employees with high risk of infection (for level-1 and level-2 risk areas); 30% of workers with high risk of infection (for level-3 and level-4 risk areas).

With regard to people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or recovered from Covid-19: they shall get test if there is the request for epidemiological investigation or they come from level-4 risk areas.
