Resolution No. 126/NQ-CP dated October 8th, 2021 of the Government on amendments to the Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP dated July 1, 2021 of the Government on implementation of certain policies to support employees and employers in difficulty due to the COVID-19 pandemic

This Resolution is to supplement cases in which employees are entitled to receive support and cases in which enterprises are entitled to borrow loan to pay wages for production recovery due to impact of the COVID-19 pandemic

Accordingly, employees that have to terminate the employment contracts, take unpaid leave, have been put on furlough for COVID-19 treatment or their enterprises have headquarters, branches, representative offices, or production or business sites in areas where the measures in Directive No. 16/CT-TTg are imposed or their enterprises have to rearrange production and labor for COVID-19 prevention and control shall be also entitled to receive support.

With regard to enterprises, if their headquarters, branches, representative offices, or production or business sites in areas where the measures in Directive No. 16/CT-TTg are imposed, they shall be entitled to borrow a loan at the interest rate of 0% for production recovery.

Regarding conditions for enterprises to borrow loans to pay furlough wages, the conditions relating to bad debts at the time to of borrowing is removed.

The 6-month suspension of contributions to the retirement and survivorship fund is also amended in terms of the number of employees to be downsized due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, from 15% to 10%

This Resolution takes effect from the date of its signing.
