Decision No. 4158/QD-BCA-PCCC&CNCH dated June 15th, 2023 of the Ministry of Public Security on approval of application of foreign standards, international standards on fire prevention and fighting in Vietnam

This Decision is to approve the List of 15 foreign standards, international standards applicable to design, examine fire prevention and fighting systems, devices in Vietnam (information in the bracket is promulgating nation/organizations), including:

1. SP 241.1311500.2015 Standard - Automatic fire sprinkler systems for goods storages on high shelves (of Russian Federation);

2. NFPA 13:2022 Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems for goods storage on high shelves above 5.5 m (National Fire Protection Association);

3. NFPA 14:2019 Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems (National Fire Protection Association);

4. NFPA 15:2022 Standard for Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection (National Fire Protection Association);

5. NFPA 850:2020 Standard - Recommended Practice for Fire Protection for Electric Generating Plants and High Voltage Direct Current Converter Stations (National Fire Protection Association);

6. ISO/TS 7240-29:2017 Standard - Fire detection and alarm systems - Part 29: Video fire detectors (International Organization for Standardization);

7. ISO 14520-8:2019 Standard - Gaseous fire-extinguishing systems - Physical properties and system design - Part 8: HFC-125 extinguishant) (International Organization for Standardization);

8. ISO 14520-14:2015 Standard - Gaseous fire-extinguishing systems - Physical properties and system design - Part 14: IG-55 extinguishant (International Organization for Standardization);

9. ISO 14520-15:2015 Standard - Gaseous fire-extinguishing systems - Physical properties and system design - Part 8: IG-541 extinguishant (International Organization for Standardization);

10. ISO 15779:2011 Standard - Condensed aerosol fire extinguishing systems (International Organization for Standardization);

11. UL 2775:2019 Standard - UL Standard for Safety Fixed Condensed Aerosol Extinguishing System Units (Underwriters Laboratories);

12. EN 12021:2014 Standard - Respiratory equipment - Compressed gases for breathing apparatus (Federal Republic of Germany);

13. Certification Standard of KFI - KFIS 019:2019 - Fire fighting water cannon (Korea Fire Institute);

14. GB-19156:2019 Standard - Fire Monito (China);

15. GB-25204:2010 Standard - Auto Tracking and Targeting Jet Suppression System (China).

When there are new versions to replace the aforesaid foreign standards, international standards on fire prevention and fighting, they must be considered for application as prescribed.

This Decision takes effect on the date of its signing.
